The SmallRig Cage for Nikon Z 8 with MB-N12 Battery Grip 3982 is engineered to provide excellent protection and versatile mounting options for your camera. The cage secures the camera using a bottom 1/4″-20 screw and two M2.5 screws on the sides, with rubber pads to prevent scratches. It ensures full access to all buttons, card slots, the battery door, and the flip screen. This cage offers multiple accessory mounting points, including 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threaded holes, as well as an ARRI 3/8″-16 locating hole, compatible with Top Handles 2165 & 1638, Side Handles 2093 & 2425, Monitor Mounts 2903 & 2904, and Magic Arm 3875. Two cold shoe mounts allow you to attach a microphone and LED video light. The Arca-Swiss quick-release plates on the bottom and side provide the flexibility for both horizontal and vertical tripod shooting. The bottom plate also supports DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro gimbals, enabling smooth transitions between handheld, gimbal, and tripod modes. Additional 1/4″-20 threaded holes at the front allow the attachment of the Dual 15mm Rod Clamp 942, matte box, and lens support. A 1/4″-20 locating hole is provided for the Single Rod Clamp 3276 for focus follow. For convenience, a magnetic double-ended wrench is included for quick assembly and disassembly.
