The Pelican 1615 Large Wheeled Air Case offers a lightweight storage and carrying solution for your equipment without compromising on strength and durability. The case comes with padded dividers to separate your gear, has a moulded resin build and a weatherproof design that uses an O-ring gasket to keep your gear protected from water and dust.

Lightweight Polymer Build

The Pelican Air Case is moulded from HPX Polymer with a honeycomb structure making it 40 percent lighter than other cases of the same size while still retaining a superior strength to cases with only a polymer construction. This means you can carry your equipment and protect it effectively without burdening yourself with any additional weight, especially useful for outdoor photographers and adventurers trekking to remote locations.

Pick ‘N Pluck Foam Interior

The Pelican 1615 hard case includes a three-piece foam insert set consisting of an Egg crate type foam in lid plus a Pick ‘N Pluck foam insert and foam pad which allows you to customise your internal design to perfectly fit your range of equipment.

O-Ring gasket

The O-Ring gasket used on the case provides a watertight seal that ensures that it remains both waterproof and dustproof. More than just splash-proof the cases waterproof rating is tested by submerging the unit in one metre of water for up to 30 minutes to ensure water doesn’t reach the interior. This means you can be confident that your equipment is protected from the elements.

Purge Valve Balances Air Pressure

The case has a purge valve on the case which automatically balances the air pressure within the case with external air pressure. This helps compensate for changes in air pressure when flying or travelling and reduces strain on your equipment.

Designed to make travelling with your gear easier the Air Case has stainless-steel bearing wheels which provide quiet rolling as well as a retractable extension handle to help you navigate through airports.

Drop Tested and Crush Proof

The case has been extensively tested on all sides and even its corners to ensure it is up to standard of the Pelican Brand. It has been dropped from a height of 1.8m onto concrete while fully loaded to make sure it can keep cameras and other gear safe in case of accidents. The case has also been tested for crush resistance by a 12.7Kg weight falling from a height of 91cm.

Stainless Steel Hasp Protectors and Double Throw Latches

The hasps that allow you to hook a padlock on either side of the case are constructed out of stainless steel for additional ruggedness and can be used to keep your gear more secure. The case also features ABS double throw latches that let you access your gear quickly and easily.

Rubber Overmolded Handle

With a handle with rubber moulding to fit your hand, the case is designed to be comfortable for you to carry heavy items of equipment for long periods.
