Manfrotto’s 496 Center Ball Head with 200PL-PRO Fast Release Plate has a 200PL-PRO quick release plate and an incorporated RC2 quick release cam lock. It may be mounted to tripods or other support systems using a 3/8″-16 mount and has a 26.5 lb load capacity. The ball-and-socket joint can be easily rotated, tilted, completely extended, or brought back to its upright position by loosening the primary locking knob on the head. The locking knob’s recessed dial can be turned to adjust the tension on the motions of the ball-and-socket joint. A secondary locking knob on the ball head’s opposite side regulates the head’s 360-degree rotation.
