LAOWA has leveraged the shorter flange distance and smaller sensors on Fujifilm X and Sony E cameras to create the most compact 2:1 macro lens available. The 65mm lens includes a 14-element in 10-group design with 3 extra-low dispersion glass elements, effectively minimising chromatic aberrations. Inheriting the APO design from the Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2X macro lens, it surpasses other lenses in suppressing both lateral and longitudinal chromatic aberrations. With a maximum aperture of f/2.8, it performs well in various lighting conditions, while the minimum f/22 aperture provides a deeper depth of field for close-up work.
